The Public Services Department -Ras Al Khaimah received the World Islamic Business Award at its second session. The award is one of the "Economic Dubai " initiatives aimed at strengthening the practices and excellence among institutions in various business areas on the basis of values derived from Islamic sharia.
His Excellency ENG. Ahmed Mohammed Al Hammadi, director general of the Public Services Department, received the award from His Excellency Minister of Economy Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri during the annual award ceremony held by "Economic Dubai ". It should be noted that the activities, procedures and initiatives of the Public Services Department were thoroughly reviewed by the award arbitrators who evaluated the service on the basis of adherence to both the Islamic Action model and best practices and quality standards.
H.E. Eng. Ahmed Al Hammadi, director general of the Public Services Department, said that the Department is pleased to win from among the government agencies and departments participating in the Islamic Business Award, which represents an important addition to the efforts of organizational excellence in Ras Al Khaimah. Winning this award reflects the business system in the department.
By winning, the department proved that government agencies are able to compete with the private sector in providing services based on Islamic values.
It is worth mentioning... The World Islamic Business Award is the first of its kind aimed at honoring companies that do not only seek to serve their shareholders, but also aim to serve the community, its employees, investors, customers and partners according to Islamic values.

The award seeks to expand the adoption of standards of management of Islamic excellence in economic activities in all sectors, in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice president and prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, which aims to make the Emirate of Dubai the capital of the Islamic economy.
The award is based on an innovative framework of excellence and the standards of the Islamic Business Excellence model developed by the Center for Global Islamic Business excellence.
