For First time in RAS AL KAHIMAH . Animal Welfare Center celebrates Pet Festival
Presented by Public Services Department associated with Animal Welfare Center.
Family-friendly event to be held on Friday-Saturday 14th – 15th December 2018 at, Rak Animal Welfare center in RAS Al Khaimah .
o Highlights include International Dog & Cat Shows, Pet Agility courses, Grooming, Health and Safety Workshops, Pet Fashion Show, Petting Farm, Mega Kid’s Zone and more!
o Pets are welcome. Multiple food trucks and vendor stalls will be onsite for dining and shopping.
December 2018 – ProPlan, worlds leading pet food manufacture in association with RAKWC ,PSD and PETME magazine is organizing this mega pet event.
From the organizers of the top class Pet Festivals in the Middle East, this celebratory day calls together owners, pets, and animal lovers alike. Designed around pets, guests will be able to participate in activities such as International Dog Shows, Cat Shows, Dog Agility competitions and a Pet Fashion Show as well as engage in workshops on topics such as pet travel safety, weight maintenance and grooming techniques.
An indoor cat show area will feature Competitions and demonstrations exclusively for felines. Kids can keep busy in a large play area with bouncy slides and an educational petting farm which will teach kids how to interact with pets safely and carefully.
There will be demonstrations by Dog Training experts and the highlight will be a grand demonstration by RAK Police K9 Dog Squads
Another highlight of the event will be a Pet Fashion Show, featuring the latest pet fashion trends, with pets and models taking on the 'cat' walk. Other event features include a Pet & Owner Fancy Dress Competition and demonstrations. At the peak of the event, owners, pets and friends will participate in a parade around the Arena, where judges will select winners for different categories such as best owner and pet matching pair!

Extensive food stalls will provide an array of dining options for guests to enjoy throughout the day. Market stalls will feature artisan pet accessories and treats, while pet wellness brands will also promote and sell their products.

For the RAK Pet Festival 2018, various segments of the pet world and pet industry have been combined in order to showcase one of the biggest Pet Events in the UAE.
“This is a Grand Pet Show, where there is total interaction in all activities between Pets, their Parents and Veterinary Experts. We are thankful to the RAK Police K9 Unit for supporting this event. All competitions are designed to have the pets and their parents to compete together. This will be lot of fun for the pets and owners as well as the visitors. Most of the activities are for the first time in the UAE” – Abdullah Al bulooshi, who is the manager of Animal Welfare Center.
RAK Pet Festival is an educational and entertaining animal fair designed to raise awareness about animal welfare and to educate individuals about pet products, pet food, pet fashion, pet health, pet training & all pet services - all that one needs for their best friends!
Show organisers say, “The event promises to be a Day-out for the entire family with their pets, where they can immerse themselves in activities around their furry friends and their wellbeing, while also meeting other pet owners and animal lovers”.

For Competing Pets: Dog Owners can obtain the rules and regulations of the Show competitions and Competing Categories from the official show website
www.petfestival.ae or by visiting the events Facebook page. Each cat or dog competing in competitions can aslo be registered at the Venue, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.
For all pets entering the venue, whether competing or just visiting: A valid pet passport must be presented in order check all vaccinations updated within 24 months as required under UAE law and the pet must be in reasonably good health. Any Pets not meeting these criteria will be refused entry to the show even if they are pre-registered online.
Dogs should be on short leash as no extendable leashes are permitted. Dog owners are responsible for their dogs and always have them on leash.
The Dogs entering the venue will be assessed at the entrance for their aggressiveness and coloured Ribbons are tied around their necks. People should be aware of this and behave with these dogs accordingly.
