The common culture of the department consists of a set of values, principles, beliefs and attitudes adopted by the department, which contribute to its interactions and are followed and protected by its employees – which form the ethical code that protects and preserves the department from any deviations or negative behaviors that could harm it or its reputation and credibility, or its relations with the citizens and institutions at the local and federal level. The values and principles also play a key role in guiding the work of the department and in enabling it to achieve its mission.
The department continuously seeks to retain that value system through its daily work, and it is working on maintaining, monitoring and examining the practices and behaviors of the department's staff to ensure consistency with those values and instructions.
