The Public services Department in Ras Al Khaimah launched an environmental campaign aimed at raising public awareness of the sorting and separation of waste from the source using brown and green bags in RAS AL KAHIMAH two weeks targeting the residents of Al-Dhait area. IN AL NUAIM CITY centre and Al manar city center. H.E. Eng. Ahmed Mohammed Al Hammadi, general manager of public services, said to achieve environmental sustainability and the national agenda of the United Arab Emirates for the year 2021 to convert 75% of the waste from landfills, the Department of Public Services in Ras Al Khaimah launched BAG in BIN campaign in the Emirate initiative RAK RECYCLES as a five-year plan targeting the nine sectors of Ras Al Khaimah for 5 years to educate the public and introduce them to the concept of environmental sustainability and methods of sorting and separation of houses using brown and green bags. The campaign started in Al-Dhait area as the first sector to educate and communicate with the public through activities in the nuaim city centre daily, organizing focus sessions in several councils and holding home visits by the awareness team for a number of houses in the said area.
