Collection of 500 kg of waste from Wadi Shuka Dam - Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, in collaboration with ras al Khaimah Waste Agency , in collaboration with Adventurati team organized a voluntary campaign to promote awareness of the importance of keeping public areas clean in the emirate. H.E. Eng. Ahmed Mohammed Al Hammadi, Director General of the Public Services Department said: ‘’ that the concept of sustainability and the optimal use of available resources contributes to achieving the strategic objectives to ensure the survival of those resources for future generations, keeping the environment clean is one of our top priorities to ensure a healthy life. For the members of our community.” H.E. Director General expressed the importance of joint cooperation between local departments to establish the concept of sustainability and environmental hygiene, reflecting the effective and positive role in Ras Al Khaimah. " Sonia Nasser, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Waste Agency , said: "These clean-up campaigns are very important as part of our efforts to promote awareness of the need for everyone to refrain from dumping waste, especially in our most beautiful areas, such as the Wadi Shuka Dam. The campaign, which started at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2019, was conducted by 45 volunteers and collected 500 kilograms of waste in the Wadi Shuka dam area to promote awareness of the importance of external cleanliness and its impact on environmental sustainability."
