Ras Al Khaimah Public Services Continues Efforts to Address Rainfall Communities in the Emirate

H.E. Eng. Ahmed Al Hammadi, Director General of the Public Services Department in Ras Al Khaimah confirmed that the emergency team in the department continues its intensive efforts to treat rainwater communities throughout the emirate and reports of road collapse, falling trees and other emergency reports in accordance with a work program and plan that the team works 24 hours a day. Al-Hammadi said the team has completed all its preparations to cope with the effects of the good rains, as the mechanisms, which varied between pumps, tanks and other auxiliary mechanisms, have been deployed to cover all parts of ras al-Khaimah emirate. The Director General of the General Services Department pointed out that the team is coordinating with the General Command of ras al-Khaimah police and the municipality of Ras Al Khaimah to face the repercussions of the rains since it rains the night before last, which affected various areas of the emirate and the General Services Department is still working to control the situation. The Department received 417 reports of rainwater collection, 36 reports of sandcollapses, 8 reports of road collapses, 3 reports of falling trees, 167 staff members, 33 denials of water withdrawal, and a total of 4,255,000 gallons of water withdrawn and discharged.
